Kindergarten is the new first grade. They are expected to be reading and writing by the time they leave. Unfortunately for many of my students kindergarten is their first school experience. It takes quite some time for them to settle in and adjust to the routines and procedures.
My students are 5 and 6 year olds that are eager to learn and very energetic.
About half of my students come from a single parent home. As most 5 and 6 year olds are my students are very active. It is a daily challenge to keep their attention with the many distractions that are around.
My Project
My students don't just want to wobble, they need to wobble. As we know all children learn differently. Some can sit cross cross on the floor for hours, some need to lay down, and some need to constantly move. Well, I have a lot of movers! These wobble chairs will allow those that need to move the ability to do so whether it's whole group instruction on the rug or working at their tables.
Your donations will help these children that are constantly moving be successful and not feel constrained.
I am excited to see how these chairs improve their behavior and attitudes. Thank you in advance for supporting my students.
