My Students
Our school is in a low socioeconomic area, and it is a Title I school. Our district provides only a few essential school supplies, and it falls to the teacher to provide some basic classroom necessities.
Many students come from homes with little or no parental support, and they need us to meet needs that go beyond state standards.
It takes more than worksheets to help students get ready to move on to a higher grade. They need to have their confidence built and be secure in their ability to demonstrate proficiency in a subject. They are ready to learn and are waiting to be set up for success!
My Project
As the cold, influenza, and strep throat viruses continue to rage throughout our school, we are valiantly trying to fight back by keeping our hands, pencils, desks, doorknobs, and markers as clean as can be! These materials are vital to making that a reality! We need more hand sanitizer to use when we wipe our noses, and we need disinfectant wipes to help keep our classroom wiped free of germs.
There is nothing we dislike more than having friends absent due to illness!
We want everyone to finish the school year strong by coming to school, staying healthy, and reaching our class-wide and individual goals to successfully propel us into next school year!
