This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergartners are just beginning to read. Current reading science advises that the use of decodable texts can and will foster a classroom of children that can successfully practice the phonics knowledge they’ve accumulated to decode words, phrases, and sentences in new books. Once a child can decode with automaticity, their comprehension will flourish! Academic success builds self-esteem and confidence.
My students are hungry to read as much as they possibly can.
These books will help them truly soar through daily independent practice and in work with their equally eager partners.
