We Want to Pump You Up

My students need fitness equipment to help increase their personal fitness goals in our state testing.

My Students

I teach Elementary Physical Education in a Title I school to about 630 students. In addition, I teach 23 students with special needs who receive adaptive physical education.

If you walk through my school, you will see a diverse school with students and staff interactions that are positive and loving.

In my class, I constantly change the way I group my students. I love seeing the respect all my students show to each other and how helpful they are regardless of ability, background, or race.

My Project

Each year, my students are tested in sit ups, push ups, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance for our state mandated Fitnessgram testing. I ask my students to set personal goals and not focus on being the student with the highest number in class. The fitness equipment that I requested would all focus on these tests.

The Assesspro modified pull up fitness system will help my students with their push ups, as well as my students with special needs who have limited mobility, by focusing on their upper body strength.

The Simply Fit Boards will focus on my students core muscles/balance for their sit up testing and running test. The Tremor Slam Ball is another great resource for increasing core muscles, leg muscles, and upper body.
