My Project
Kindergarten students learn best through play. I'd like to integrate more play into our math lessons. My project will provide several math learning games for my kindergarten students. According to Doris Bergen, a professor at Miami University’s Department of Educational Psychology;
“Play is one of the main ways that children really consolidate their learning.
It is The way we really make our skills permanent and enriched and highly developed, is often through our play experiences.”
I really want to help my students have fun in class and retain their learning. Having games in the classroom will provide them with a way to be successful in math.
Playing games is also a great way to build social and emotional skills. Young kids to learn how to cooperate, get along with others, and work through problems.
