My students need a JBL Xtreme portable wireless Bluetooth speaker and hard case to engage in music and movement activities for physical fitness and wellness.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My preschool students are children who are three to five years of age. My school is in sunny California where children come to school each morning ready to learn and grow! There's never a dull moment in our class. My students are busy bees moving from one interest area to another. They're eager to learn, explore, engage and experiment with the instructional materials and centers I set up for them. My students need instructional materials to engage with and foster their interest in technology, literacy, math, science, art, and engineering. They also, need instructional materials to support their social and emotional learning, to help them grow into well rounded individuals. Every single one of my students deserves a fair chance at having his or her potential nurtured and fully developed. My little ones have an insatiable curiosity, that's why it's important for me to have a class with a variety of instructional materials to meet their educational needs.
My Project
My students need the JBL Xtreme Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker to engage in exciting fun activities that will help them develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. One of the best ways to get them up and moving is to provide music for dancing opportunities. With the Bluetooth Speaker I will play an endless amount of songs for my students to listen to and move to, this will strengthen their gross locomotor movement skills and movement concepts fostering overall wellness and fitness. Preschoolers primarily learn through physical and sensory experiences, thus learning the art of dance helps young children develop knowledge, skill and spatial awareness. Dancing is a creative outlet for children and my students struggling with language will be able to express themselves through dance and movement.
