Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting English language development cards in various levels to support my bilingual students. The students that I support are new to the United States and need help transitioning into their classrooms and learning how to speak English. These task cards focus on the four language domains: reading, writing, listening and speaking. These will allow my newcomers to engage in English in the various domains in an effort to become successful for future state tests.

My students are eager to learn.

These task cards can be used in my small groups, in partners or individually. The more the students engage in these activities with myself and each other, the more confident they will feel using the language with their English speaking teachers and classmates. I want to build their confidence in their ability to learn and utilize the language of instruction.
