Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Regardless of the time of day, my fifth grade students are busy bodies. It's truly great when assigning classroom jobs and during cleanup procedures. Lately, it has been creating a problem with classroom instruction and delivery. I teach 5th grade in a multicultural public charter school located in Washington,D.C. In the past few weeks, I've noticed several of my students demonstrating difficulty with sitting still in their seats. It is becoming a distraction for them because while fidgeting, items are dropped from their desks and other students in the class want to know the origin of the noise. It is also impacting their learning as it becomes halted when they began to move about excessively. I know that some of my students are unable to help moving around in their seats, however, seat air cushions will allow them to be flexible in their seats without causing attention. These mini inflated seat discs are small enough to go unnoticed but provide the safety and comfort of allowing my students a little extra room to learn. My students are not maximizing their learning potential. As an inclusion school, I want all of my students to achieve the same learning goals. By showing my students who are displaying issues with fidgeting the proper way to use the seat air cushions, classroom and behavioral management is sure to increase. Seat air cushions are designed with many of my students in mind. Please help us to sit properly and learn together!
