This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
No more markers or paper! This year, we have been participating in The Green Schools Challenge. My students and I have been challenging ourselves to live "green" and conserve our resources.
My school is the best place to work and learn.
Our school is a Title I school that serves low-income families. My students absolutely love going to school everyday to learn. They love working collaboratively and challenging themselves to do their very best.
My Project
Since I teach science and math, I incorporate visuals and manipulatives in all of my lessons. One way to minimize the use of paper and to help motivate students, I have incorporated the use of white boards for each student this year. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that markers dry out or get lost. It is very costly! Instead, my students need boogie boards to learn and help save our environment.
With your donation, my students will be able to work out math problems and illustrate science concepts without using paper or markers!
We can use these boogie boards for many years to come while helping to save our environment!
