We Want To Give Our Regards To Broadway!!

My students need tickets to the Broadway show: Spiderman, Turn off the Dark.

My Students

Many people hear the words: New York City and they think of Broadway. My students live in New York City and many of them do not know what Broadway is! I teach in a low-income area and many of the families have a hard time providing experiences like seeing a Broadway play.

My class consists of 20 gifted and talented students.

They are incredible children and I love to give them experiences that will ultimately enrich their lives. I want second grade to be an experience that they will remember forever. These students are extremely inquisitive and love to learn, especially about New York City.

My Project

Have you ever been to a Broadway show? Think about how incredible you feel when the lights start to flash and you know the show is about to begin. The songs, the dances, the entire experience is an incredible one! Please help my students enrich their lives with Broadway! It is so important that they, being residents of New York City, get to experience such an amazing part of it.

I do not believe that education simply consists of reading, writing and arithmetic.

I believe that education truly consists of any experience that will teach a child to appreciate the world around them. In going to see a Broadway show, I feel that my students would truly appreciate the rich culture that New York City has to offer. Unfortunately, I cannot make that happen on my own. Please help 20 gifted and talented second graders give their "regards to Broadway!"
