Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book your couldn't put down. My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations, but they have also not yet met Roald Dahl. Having book sets can make all the differences!

My students come from homes that don't have supplies to complete homework, books to read at night, and imaginations that are not always welcome.

But when they come into their classroom all of this can change. All students deserve a chance to learn and be successful. Seeing students grow, and become independent learners within our nations capital can make a difference for the next generation.

My Project

These resources will help make a difference in my students lives. They will be able to check out books from our library, answer tricky math questions using their dry erase boards in an interactive way, and read about the news and world events in their new Time for Kids Magazines. Bringing these items to the classrooms helps the students bring learning into their own hands!

This project will create an atmosphere of hope, real world learning, and a chance to complete assignments in an engaging way.

Let's give some of the students in our nations capital a chance by providing them with materials to help them become successful leaders.
