My Students
“Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them.” -Lady Bird Johnson
I have high expectations for all of my kindergarten students and with your help, I know they can achieve them all!
I teach a large kindergarten class of 20+ eager and ready to learn five year olds.
My students come from a rural, low economic area near the coast of South Carolina. They attend a large elementary school that houses prekindergarten through fifth grade. My students are always excited to learn new things.
My Project
I am requesting new primary lined composition notebooks for my students to do their daily journal writing. I am also requesting new dry erase boards and erasers to have my students practice correctly forming each letter of the alphabet. By having these materials in our classroom, my students will improve both their handwriting and the stories they write. They will enjoy writing because it will be "fun" for them!
By donating to this project, you will give my kindergarten students the opportunity to become lifelong learners.
If they learn to write at an early age and enjoy it, they are much more likely to continue to write as they get older.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
