We Want to be Better Readers and Writers

My students need materials to make reading, writing, math and social studies more fun.

My Students

Some of my students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations. This could be the year that magic happens and they fall in love with books.

I love seeing my students grow.

The only people who love seeing that growth more than me, are the students themselves. I have students graph their growth each month. I teach a very active bunch of third graders in coastal Georgia. I have taught pre-K and I now teach 3rd grade. The only difference between the two grades is size - both four year olds and eight years olds just want to have fun and show off what they have learned.

My Project

I have picked reading, writing, math and social studies activities for the students. I know that they will love playing these! This will really help to reinforce their addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills as well as help students learn all about fractions, area and perimeter. The students will be able to use these in student led and teacher led centers. Please help us all become math wizards. I have several file folder games for math. The students love playing with them. They actually asked that I get some for social studies! How great is that?! I am really excited about the ready made centers. We work in centers, small groups, and partners a lot! By having ready made materials for the students to use, we will be able to work more efficiently. The math learning center will be great for my independent groups too.

These math learning center will be great for my independent groups.

Students will love playing these games! This is my first project that has materials requested by the students instead of just from me. I can't wait to raise enough money to show the students that donors can do amazing things to help us.
