My Students
Can you imagine not having a computer subscription for Kindergarteners? Well, unfortunately that's what we are dealing with right now! My students love to read and it's unfair for them not to have a computer subscription which they can enjoy hearing stories as well as gain vital knowledge they need.
My students all come from low-income and poverty stricken neighborhoods on the Westside of Chicago, but just because of their current economic status isn't the best doesn't mean they don't have the drive for reading.
Despite their circumstances my parents make sure that they read to their child every day. The parents play in active role in their learning.
My Project
I am requesting a year subscription to Speakaboos for all my students so that they will be able to read with interactive books daily. My students will be able to follow along with the stories as well as gain knowledge to become a great reader. This subscription will allow my students to began on their level of reading and work their way up to become a very successful reader. My students are having difficulties grasping certain words while reading and by having this subscription will allow them to fill that gap by actually seeing various reading lessons for their level in order to ultimately help them achieve their goals.
Moreover, this will help boost their confidence in reading like never before and allow them to not be timid or bashful when it comes to reading out loud.
By contributing to this project, students will be able to have daily access to Speakaboos for a year of learning in order to read independently.
Kindergarteners will truly love this interactive website where they can enjoy so many picture books on their level. By supporting this project students will learn all the key skills they need to know for being a successful reader.
