My students need a listening center to have the opportunity to enjoy many books being read to them. Funny, sad, rhyming books with fun narration are so engaging.

My Students
My student need to develop the love for books and reading. With a listening center, they will have more opportunities.
My students attend either a morning or an afternoon session for 2 hours and 40 minutes four days a week.
There are twelve students: 8 students with special needs that cover a spectrum of students with diagnosis of developed delays, health impaired, or Autism. There are also 4 students that are typically developing to be peers.
My Project
A listening center will be an option during free choice. Students will be able to listen to a variety a stories. During story time, I read a book, but it would be beneficial for students to hear more than one book a day. They will be enriched in literature.
Being read to is key to a child's academic growth.
I want to provide my students with many opportunities. Plus they will be able to listen to stories that I will not have the time to read aloud.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
