Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is hard to keep our classroom clean. Hundreds of students go in and out of my classroom every day from grades 10-12. Drinks are spilled. Students write on desks and leave them messy. Scraps of paper and garbage need to be swept off the floor. Surfaces, like windowsills and bookshelves, are dusty. Meanwhile, custodial staff is stretched thin and overworked, and we often find ourselves taking care of these tasks ourselves. I am constantly restocking our cleaning supplies out-of-pocket.
We need supplies to keep our room clean!
We're asking for Lysol wipes, paper towels, spray and cloths to help keep our surfaces clean. We need a Swiffer & a broom to help with the floors. Hand sanitizer & gloves to keep us sanitary as we tidy up. Febreze to make sure the room smells good. And finally, some twinkly lights, just to make us smile as we learn in our tidy, clean space.
