This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It has come to that point in the year, where my students have just about used up most of our basic supplies, such as pencils, tape, glue sticks, and black magic markers. We are also are in need of more "good" Kleenex and cleaning wipes to help keep our classroom environment clean and healthy. When my students tell me, "all of the good Kleenex is gone" it is always a sad day. We have to resort to the extremly thin and scratchy school provided kind, and that stinks.

These supplies will benefit all of the students in my class as we do a variety of projects throughout our different lessons and we are always making sure that we clean and sanitize our classroom to help keep everyone healthy.

My students are special because they understand that we are a family in our classroom and we work together and help one another throughout the day. I always tell my students that I make sure to have the necessary supplies they will need in case their family is not able to provide a certain item. I do not want my students to feel hindered because they were not able to bring something from home. I also always encourage my students to be creative and they seem to enjoy when we are able to tie projects into our lessons. .
