My Students

My students are some of the most special individuals in the building. All of my students are bilingual! I'm the ESOL (English to Speaker of Other Languages) teacher! My specialty is ensuring that our students are learning successfully as well as encouraging them to appreciate their different cultures and customs.

Our school represents over 12 different languages and I'm here to make sure every one of those voices are heard and that those students and parents are well informed and engaged!

Because ESOL students vary in their English proficiency, daily work and tasks are heavily individualized. With this, each scholar has a storage and work area, specialized for them!

Part of our classroom charm is that we are all working on common goals, differently!

My Project

International Baccalaureate and STEM working together!

Using markers, paper, books, and all types of tangible items, our English Language Learners become in charge of their own progress.

Students have a VOICE, they have a CHOICE and they take OWNERSHIP of their learning!

Everyday, English Language Learners enter our room with the excitement of knowing they will choose their activity for the day. Crates, writing utensils, and other organizational devices help us keep it all organized and easily accessible!

Specialty crayons and pencils make it much easier for little hands and fingers to get the work done!
