This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 20 third graders live on the south side of Richmond, Virginia and attend at Title I elementary school. We are a high ESL population which means my students flourish with the ability to be bilingual at a young age.
They come to school ready to learn and find out the answers to questions they wonder every day.
They're passionate about all things animals and science, curious about history, and ready to take on the challenges of math and reading head on despite being in a completely virtual school year.
My Project
My 18 third graders did it - they survived a completely virtual school year during a pandemic and they deserve to be celebrated. This year has been hard on all of us being completely virtual year while overcoming a pandemic, learning loss, and so much more. I want to be able to great a good end of the year gift for them to start their summers off with.
I've picked out parts that will relate to what we've learned this year in their end of year gifts.
There's a reusable water bottle that goes along with our water conservation and protecting the environment and a frog for our animal research. They all worked so hard this year. Help me make their end of the year even better than I could on my own.
