This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students face many challenges and obstacles in their home and school life. As a teacher, it is a difficult task to give them an equal amount of opportunities that other students in other areas may have. In spite of the fact, my students show up every day eager and excited to learn, they strive for success and do not give up.
Our school is in the heart of Los Angeles and serves a community that has a high poverty rate and diverse backgrounds.
As a product of the same circumstances, I believe that my students will achieve prosperity with the help of big-hearted people.
My Project
My students need various opportunities to see themselves in a wide range of careers.
It is my hope that through learning and play my students attain early career exposure.
At the moment, they must use the limited resources available to them.The light table would be a great addition and would help the classroom become more STEM friendly by fostering skills like creativity, inquiry, engineering, critical thinking, collaboration. The Human X-Rays would support my students in learning about the human body as well as a dramatic play tool when they pretend to be essential medical workers.
