My Students
Do you remember going to the library and checking out the same types of books over and over?
My first grade students love going to the library. We go three times a week at our school. I have been watching them choose books for half the year. This class loves to read about superheros, animals, and Dr. Seuss. I would love to have more books that interest them in the classroom.
Our school is in a rural part of North Carolina. My students are working very hard to improve their reading skills.
My Project
I am seeking fiction and non-fiction books that spark my students' interests. I chose books that will inspire my children to keep reading. The books include non-fiction animal books, superhero books, and Dr. Seuss books. If the project gets funded, the children will be pulling the books out of the box and reading them right away.
Children can experience the joy and love for reading at a young age. I want to keep their interest and provide them a chance to explore more information. These books will not only be read, but they will help the children curiosity and writing blossom. We have been so thankful for everything we have received from donors. If you are able to help us gain access to more books, we will forever be grateful.
