Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our class is a SDC setting. Some of our kids are mainstreamed for ELA or Science but others stay in class throughout the day. We have a combo class of 4th and 5th graders and 5th graders are required to take the state science exam.

These supplies will help the kids learn so much about many things like the cycle of the butterfly and about dinosaurs right in front of their eyes.

Also, my students seem to lose or misplace their pencils on a daily basis and our resources run low very quickly. I think these materials will help my kids with so many things including geography. These supplies are things that are not provided for us and whenever the kids see new things come into our class they get so excited and encouraged to learn more.
