This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in sunny California where children come to school each morning ready to learn and grow! There's never a dull moment in our class. My students are eager to learn, engage, experiment, and participate in the activities planned for the day.
My preschool students need instructional materials to engage with to foster their interest in technology, literacy, math, science, art, and engineering.
They also need instructional materials to support their social-emotional learning to help them grow into well-rounded individuals.
Every single one of my students deserves the opportunity of having his or her fullest potential nurtured and fully developed. Children are the future, and as such, they deserve to be fully supported.
My Project
Dear Donors my students need the kids Yoga Mats to use during our circle time Mindfulness and Exercise Activities. We're in need of tools and resources that will help foster overall mental and physical wellness. My students have survived one of the hardest times of their lives, Covid took its toll on many of them as several were indoors for many months social distancing. Now that the children are back in school attending summer school, practicing Yoga during circle time has been so helpful in calming, relaxing and helping the children focus in learning. The children need mats though to make their Yoga experience more comfortable. They also need the Yoga Flashcard Activity Deck to practice a variety of poses to strengthen their body and mind.
