My Project
One component of our advisory program at S.L. A. Middle School is assisting our students with their social-emotional learning. One of the ways that we do that in my advisory classroom is through the use of games and collaborative activities on our Fun Fridays. Fun Friday is a time for students to be able to relax and navigate peer relationships through low-stakes activities.
My advisory students really love the ability to play games with one another.
This helps them with working through difficult moments where they may have to navigate not only moments of joy, but moments of frustration as well. Because the games become well-loved, we could definitely use more games and activities for our students to use!
