My Project
We're a low-income school, and we otherwise have no budget for games to play. These kids need time to unwind and socialize away from screens, and they need to learn essential skills that board games and tabletop role playing games (think Dungeons and Dragons and its ilk) provide.
Board games teach cooperative skills, strategy skills, and problem solving.
Teens that play them are more likely to engage in healthy coping mechanisms, and have overall better mental health. It's better to play board games than sit on the phone all afternoon.
