I teach at a beautiful school in North Miami Beach. Many of my students have never had the opportunity to explore art using technology and this is unfortunate. Over 90% of the student population is high risk.
Many of my students are talented artistically, but lack exposure or experience in technology.
Hence an opportunity to use technology to learn about and explore art in other countries and cultures would enhance their learning experience. My students also have limited access to computers and the Internet, so a projector would assist us by making information I have accessible to all in a class setting.
My Project
My students need one InFocus IN2116 Projector. This school year, "World Peace" is going to be the theme, as all students in the art classes will be required to research a country, in terms of its art, cultures and artists. My students would also be required to create an art project based on their country of choice. For this to be effective, they must be exposed to as many resources as possible.
Your support of this project would enhance our art program as more children would be able to follow or read art information, images and research via a projector.
I can project information and images through PowerPoint presentations, the Internet and transparencies in a class setting. I hope that this can be accomplished with your assistance.
