This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom is fun but rigorous for the kindergartners. We use technology in the focus lessons of both math and reading. Also, a lot of my students come from lower-income families and 100% of my campus is on free lunch. Every day we start our day off with a cheer about being important! I want my students to not only hear this every day but also be treated like they are important! Children in this day and age need technology to access a multitude of resources.

Yet imagine coming to a classroom that is full of love and learning but having to learn at the mercy of the lone copy machine in the work room.

My students need access to a printer for quick access to copies needed for learning and at the conclusion of their projects.

My Project

I am asking for a color laser printer for a variety of reasons. The first is that I want to start with my students doing projects using technology-since that is the current world we are living in. I want them to be able to type a simple report or create a PowerPoint that they are able to print in the classroom.

My students want to be able to see their projects come to life in color.

I would love for them to create their projects to be showcased on our campus and within our district. Another reason is, little children learn in color. I want to be able to prepare as much literacy and STEM projects that I can in color- for easy learning for my young learners.
