My students need a very safe ladder to get to the lights. Our lighting system does not have lights that lower down and we have no way to light the stage. SAFE LADDER NEEDED.
I need my students to reach the stars! We have, FINALLY, gotten a theater!!! A real honest, to goodness, stage and auditorium so that we can perform. I am now able to get my students out of the classroom and working on the stage.
Many of them are learning in a fun way, something they don't get to have anywhere else, all day long.
We lie down, practice relaxation and ways to let go of anxiety. Then we stand up and interact, learn about each other and take some risks. It's an incredible class experience and we need some help...
My Project
I know a ladder sounds unexciting but it is quite the opposite. This is how the ladder will serve us: It is the only way we can get to the lights so we can move them and light the stage in specific spots. The lights are 16' up so the ladder needs to be super-safe and of the type that rolls, has locking wheels, and has handrails, so no one will lose their balance.
We are in rehearsal for an improvised soap opera about which the students are on fire!
However, without a ladder, we can't light the thing! The lack of a ladder is keeping us from making our productions REAL THEATRE.
