Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I service students from kindergarten through 5th grade. They are all English Language Learners.
Many of my English Language Learners are recent arrivals and need a lot of support for their learning.
They are also economically disadvantaged and thus can't provide school supplies or essential materials needed for their learning. My students are amazing and have amazing potentials. My goal is to help them reach their highest potentials. But there is a scarcity of materials and many times students don't have basic supplies to complete their assignments.
My Project
We need the classroom supplies to make our classroom neater and organized. Basic supplies help students engage in lessons, as they gain knowledge they can bring back to their community to improve overall welfare.
Students don't feel overstimulated in an organized, neat classroom.
As public schools receive fewer funds from the state, the list of supplies needed for classrooms grows, and for schools in areas of higher poverty, providing supplies is a real challenge for families. That's why I'm writing this project to collect funds and provide my students with the materials needed to build an effective classroom environment.
We appreciate your support and please know that your donation will make a big difference.
