Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I believe that every student should walk into a well-stocked classroom where they will always have the supplies to create, learn, and explore new ideas.
Welcome to a third grade, bilingual classroom full of hard-working, enthusiastic students!
My bilingual classroom is the landing spot for third graders who have just arrived in the United States. My students are incredibly hard workers who always come to school ready to learn, no matter what is going on outside of the classroom. My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with all that they need to be successful learners.
My Project
Imagine having to say 'no' when a student asks for a pencil or a piece of paper because there are none left in the classroom. It's something that shouldn't happen to a curious, eager third grader. I see my students working hard day in and day out to explore and learn new things.
I have used my store of pencils and papers supporting my students both at home and in school throughout the year - now we need pencils and paper to finish strong!
With extra paper, students have space to do all of their work, and will always have copies of helpful worksheets and guided notes. Pencils allow my students to fully participate in reading lessons and learn study skills, and a pencil sharpener will let my students keep their pencils sharp for all the writing they love to do!
