My students deserve the BEST!
We are a very diversified school in a small town in East Texas. Most of our students don't have the newest computers or printers in their homes, so the best exposure they get to technology is at school. Due to budget cuts and very little technology funds for classrooms, we are forced to used desktops that are not at their best most of the time. My students deserve the opportunity to have the best technology available for the classroom. The students in my class love using technology when it works and it is a shame they aren't able to use it more. This iPad and iPod will give them all a better chance at tech time and thus improve their chances to grow, learn, and be the best that they can be!
My Project
My desire is to have devices available for ALL my students. I am trying to slowly get resources to accomplish this goal! With this iPad mini, and iPod, they could listen to stories, practice penmanship with letters and numbers, work on math facts or just explore the vast world of Apps! My students can record reader's theaters, sing songs, play educational games and the list goes on and on. I hope all of my 2nd grade students will spend a portion of their school day enjoying and learning on the iPad Mini or iPod. This generation of children NEED this educational support in order to learn in the best way possible. They thrive on technology. This makes it possible for them to learn as the explore Apps and programs. The world is at their fingertips!

The students of this day and time learn best with the support of technology. This will make a perfect center for reading or math time. With these tools, the iPad and iPod, I hope to give my students an edge up on ignorance. Please help make this possible for my classroom FULL of 2nd graders!
