My Students
My third grade students are active, fun, and full of questions. My students have varying learning styles but they all come to school each day excited and ready to learn.
In this class, we build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences.
We are part of a larger school that celebrates inclusion and my class is half gifted and half students with special needs. Although we have many differences, we can still find common ground and celebrate each other.
My Project
We need a Chromebook to use for enrichment and remediation in reading and math. Chromebooks in our classroom would be incredibly beneficial for my students. Currently, we do not have enough Chromebooks for each student to have one. We have to sign out for a cart that is only available to us every few weeks because we are sharing this cart with 4 other classrooms.
My students are enthusiastic about enriching their daily learning on educational websites, but without daily access to technology in the classroom, using these educational strategies proves difficult.
My 3rd grade students will greatly benefit from having a Chromebook in the classroom, even if it needs to be shared with a group. Many of my lessons can be extended deeper with this tool, and the activities much more meaningful to the students. A Chromebook, headphones, and mouse will motivate and inspire my students.
