This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember how much fun you had when you played with your friends at school?
My first graders attend a small school.
During recess, they are have to share playing areas with other classes. I would like to provide them with more opportunities to learn how to play different sports. Physical activity is important for kids as they grow up!
My Project
My students need play and exercise equipment such as four Fat Bat and Balls, a 20 foot Rainbow Parachute and various balls and cones! Many of my students don't always get the opportunity to join team sports due to limited financial resources. These students would benefit not only physically but also emotionally and socially if they had the opportunity to play in teams. This project involves purchasing outdoor equipment that would enable my students to play different team sports.
You will help hundreds of students for years to come because we will use this equipment with future classes.
Students will benefit by becoming stronger physically and emotionally. You will be helping boost their self esteem.
