Many students begin Kindergarten not knowing how to spell their name. They depend on their nameplate to see how to spell their name every time that they have to write it! Our tables are not wide enough for students to put their papers in front of them and see their name plate.
My kindergarten students live in a rural area.
They attend a public school that is lacking in resources. Many of our students come from homes of poverty. My students come to school eager to learn! School is a safe, fun place for our students to learn.
My Project
I am requesting four rectangle tables that are 30" x 48". These tables are big enough for the students to sit comfortably, and see their nameplates. These tables have adjustable height so that I can make sure they are short enough for our students can sit comfortably to do their work. They are also big enough to use trays to organize materials during math!
It is important for students to have a comfortable spot to sit and do work.
In Kindergarten, it is very important that they can see their nameplates. It is also important that they have enough space to work with math materials in a tray. This helps them to stay organized!
