My students need furniture and educational videos. They need bean bag chairs and a carpet for sitting and reading. They also need math videos to keep them engaged in learning.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Give us comfort! We need a comfortable place to sit and browse and read books. We need an additional carpet and bean bag chairs. It would be nice to have a place to flop down - on bean bag chairs! We also need math videos to help keep my students engaged in learning about mathematics.

My students live in a high poverty area.

They are bright first graders, eager to learn new vocabulary words, and very focused on learning. They are a group of boys and girls that love to sit and hear stories. They also love to sit and read books. Unfortunately, at times, we experience the dread of shelter in place from gun shots in our area. My students become anxious from having to stay indoors, when they should be out playing at recess. When these unfortunate events occur, it would be wonderful for the students to be able to just relax and read a good book. We also need math videos to inspire learning.

My Project

I am requesting a small area carpet to put in the corner of the room, as well as bean bag chairs. My students seem to love to sit around our little library, but we do not have enough bean bag chairs, nor a carpet in that area. The chairs and carpet will provide a warn and homey environment to our classroom. We also need math videos to inspire learning.

This project is very important, because it will help motivate my students to sit and read books.

Children like to sit in the comfort of a bean bag chair or a soft carpet, rather than their wooden tables and plastic chairs. Our classroom is in desperate need of furniture for first graders. We also need mathematical videos to keep learning engaging and fun.
