This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Please help my second grade class by providing them with the basic necessities they need to be successful.
My second graders are low income and we need your support.
Their parents and I do what we can to accommodate the students' needs, but we need help. You would be surprised how a new glue stick or dry erase pen brings a smile to their face. At 7 years old they are eager to learn and to do. I want to give them the opportunities other students have.
My Project
Second grade is full of art/science projects that require scissors and glue. We use glue so much we go through over 100 glue sticks a year. In addition to glue sticks, everyday we use dry erase markers. We tackle countless math problems in a way that saves paper and helps the environment. With your help, my students will have the materials and tools they need to complete assignments with ease and without worry. I also ask for writing paper. our students are becoming writers in second grade they go from writing sentences to paragraphs. To become a better writer it takes practice. It takes special paper to practice writing in second grade.
My second graders really need your support.
There is no other way they will be able to get these needs met. What I provide is never enough. By helping us out, you will make my students happy prepared learners.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
