My Students

I am teaching Pre-K in an NYC public school. In September I will have 13 students. Pre-K is the beginning of their school career. Using their imagination to recreate familiar events is vital in their developmental growth. It will help to foster their expressive language and problem-solving skills. I would really appreciate your support in getting these items and helping to make their first school year one to remember. I want to continue to instill a love of learning, imaginative play and risk-taking that will last each of them a lifetime!

My Project

My students are young and creative. However, our dramatic play center is in need of assistance. By getting the pretend food and dishes, we can practice so many life skills. My students can practice using their manners and their expressive language while ordering and pretending to be in a restaurant. In addition, the pots and pans can be used to prepare the food. The students will learn how to compromise while deciding who will be the customers, the chef, and the waiter/waitress. Pretend play is vital to early development. These items will help my students and encourage them to grow.
