it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school recently moved within the building it resides and as a result, the science department lost all of our lab rooms. The lab rooms we used to have were hooked up to water lines to provide running water for wet labs for all science courses including biology, Earth science, and chemistry. Our new classrooms have no water lines, no sinks, and no running water.
We need to purchase a portable sink so that we can safely and cleanly have students complete labs in all science courses.
At this time, we have had to pause almost all laboratory investigations in our school because we do not have running water. We need at the very least the ability for students to wash their hands after touching or handling science equipment. In addition to this, we use water for the preparation of lab materials and during lab experiments, as well as cleaning up lab experiments and washing all used equipment. Without this water, hands-on science has all but ground to a halt, and we know that students understand science the most when they are actively doing science. Help us bring hands-on laboratory science back to our school!
