Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We tend to take basic supplies for granted, it isn't until you no longer have access to those basic supplies that you realize how vital they are.
My students live in a high poverty area of New York City.
The class consists of general and special education students. They love to write, draw and create. Due to the current fiscal situation and budget cuts we no longer have access to basic copy paper and teachers must supply their own paper.
My Project
My students need copy paper, colored paper and construction paper. The paper will be used to photocopy worksheets, daily class assignments, homework, print student work, notes to parents, etc. This project will ensure that paper is available when needed whether for our class or school-wide. Without paper its difficult to give our students the education they deserve. Paper is needed to recreate and re-purpose resources for our lessons. With your help my students will have a much needed resource that will make a lasting impact in their education. Thank you so much for your generous donation and for caring about our students lives.
