My Students
Our school is a Title I school, located in a small, rural county. Our classrooms are filled with a diverse makeup of students that include English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and gifted students.
Our students are very eager to learn, and they come to school excited for a new day.
Most of our students come from low-income households where there are limited budgets for school materials and supplies; however, their families are very supportive and very involved our school community!
My Project
My students are often taking some sort of test or assessment - classroom tests, district assessments, end-of-the-year state tests, etc. Some students are tested in a small group setting at a table or on the computer, which means the person sitting next to them is usually only a few inches away. This close proximity to their neighbor causes some students to have difficulty focusing and doing their best. They are worried about others looking on their test, is someone else going finish first, or what their neighbor's answer is to question number 5.
These privacy shields will help my students perform their best on tests and assessments by focusing their attention to their work while preventing them from seeing the work of the student seated next to them.
The computer privacy shields will help maintain focus when taking online assessments. The See-Me privacy partitions will prevent students from looking at their neighbor's paper when testing in a small group at a table, yet will allow me to notice when they are ready to move on to the next question. The storage rack will give us a place to neatly store and organize our new privacy shields.
