My students need more book bins and more grade-level library books to start the year off!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Birr's classroom raised $226

My Students
I now teach 2nd-grade! Many second graders are still learning how to read and it is important for teachers to make reading enjoyable for students, so they can continue to learn to love reading!
This year I have moved to a new school district and a new grade level.
The needs at this district are different than the needs of the students at my prior district. I don't have many books at a lower reading level, and I will need them to help build the love of reading in my classroom.
My Project
We will use these materials during our reader's workshop time. Each student will have their own book bin, and will pick out "just right books" to have in their bins. This will help students build their reading skills, because they will not be bored with books that are too low, or frustrated with books that are too high for their reading levels.
Donations to this project will help my students better understand how it is important to read everyday.
I currently do not have a grade level appropriate classroom library in my classroom. I need to build this up, so the students will have books to read all year long.
