My Students
My students deserve to have the latest technology at their fingertips. However, our school is busting at the seams, therefor my Pre-K students do not have access to the computer lab.
I am privileged to spend my days teaching the forty youngest learners in or school.
My students travel from around our school district to attend our Pre- K program because we do not offer it in all of our schools. I teach two classes each day and each group is only with me for two and a half hours. In that short time I do my best to make sure that each and every one of them are prepared for the school and class they will enter the following year and most importantly I make sure they leave me with a love of learning.
My Project
With an iPad center my students will have access to technology that they deserve to have. They will work on many skills at their own pace, such as letter identification, number identification, beginning sounds, rhyming words and counting syllables in words. The apps that are available for this age group are countless, many of them can be individualized for each child. Working on an iPad also strengthens their fine motor skills. We work on all of these skills throughout the school year but with an iPad they will get even more practice and experience the success they deserve.
My children need to experience the joys of learning and in this day and age they need to be exposed to computers and technology in a positive learning environment.
I make sure that all my students experience success but with your help we can bring a whole new level of excitement to our classroom.
