My Students
My second graders come to school full of energy and ready to conquer the world. My job is to keep them motivated and to develop critical thinkers. Each child learns differently, and part of my job is to find out how to reach them. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners and some learn by hands-on activities. We need to figure out how to reach all learners. My students are sweet and eager to learn. They are motivated and want to be successful students. They just need the opportunity.
My Project
Through taking some professional development, I was able to receive Chromebooks for each student. My students love typing out, adding graphics and publishing their books. I loved how motivated they were so I printed them out. Pretty soon, they started creating all types of slides during their free time.
Yes, I ran out of ink.
I hate telling them I can't print out their works of art. The motivation that I see as they type and share their pieces are amazing. They show each other their pieces and even teach other little tips on the computer. Please help me keep them motivated and writing.
