Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 24 eager kindergarten students who are very curious about the world around them. They come to school every day ready to learn and try new things. They enjoy coming to school and always have big smiles on their faces.
Our school is a Title I school in which all the students receive free lunch and are also provided breakfast in the classroom to get their day started.
Many of the students live in very small apartments with multiple families living together. School becomes a second home for many of the students and they feel safe and happy to be at school every day.
My Project
My students need colorful ink to print pictures of the different themes that we study throughout the year. The ink will allow me to be able to make numerous colorful copies of pictures and different resources needed for small group differentiated instruction.
The ink will provide the students with different games and resources that are colorful and fun for the students to be engaged.
Also, I can make multiple copies of colorful pictures for reading centers and my math centers.
Overall, the multiple ink packages will last me the entire school year and the students will enjoy all the fun games that I will be able to provide them.
