Help me give my students interesting independent reading books to read for our reading campaign.

My Project
I am bringing reading back or whatever Justin Timberlake said! Each year, I hold a reading campaign in ELA. The competition requires our scholars to read each night a book of their choice. One of the things that I love that comes out of my reading campaign is that some of my students "sneak" read. They literally take a book out of their desks and try to read during class time. However, I do have scholars who are not interested in reading books--yet. That is until I can expand my library and include more topics that will interest other scholars.
The books we (my scholars and I) are requesting today will have a positive toll on their education by teaching them new words and how to read fluently.
Additionally, it will help to improve their literacy skills, reduce stress, enhance their creativity, and improve their concentration.
My scholars also asked that I add that it will help them with their homework since they have to write a summary of what they've read each day. The books that my scholars have chosen today are life-changing and give you life lessons. This is something that we speak about often in class. My scholars believe that the most important books help you learn for your life in the future.
In all, my goal is for my scholars to become proficient readers and to be excited about reading. I want them to experience a love of reading and stop looking at looking as a task. I want them to see reading as something they can enjoy. Thank you for helping me push them along this journey.
