Our students are amazing! They come from diverse backgrounds and influences and overcome an array of obstacles in their daily lives. They come to us not only for an education, but for daily meals, for comfort, structure, and a sense of belonging. We are a family.
Being able to supply my students with basic needs is so important for their well being.
Kids that are dirty, hungry, or don't feel good about themselves are not in the right mind frame to be prepared to learn. I want to be able to fix that.
My Project
My job is to help all of my students be successful. One way I help them is to assist with basic hygiene needs. Many families are homeless and struggle with purchasing basic supplies for their families, my hope is that this hygiene kit helps some of my teenage girls students.
Being clean is a huge part of feeling confident and good about yourself during your teenage years!
By providing my students with basic hygiene supplies my hope is that they are more confident, feel good about themselves are ready to learn!
