We need to increase our background knowledge and experiences while getting excited about reading!
My school has a 300 book campaign. We are trying to outfit each classroom with at least 300 books. I would love to have a classroom library that my students would actually enjoying choosing a book from. My students are not very excited about reading, and this year has been a challenge to get them motivated to read books on their own. I would like to provide books that span across the curriculum so that my students can read books based on their interests. In the meantime, I would also like to be able to provide them with exciting activities that will boost their self confidence when it comes to reading.
I need a classroom library with books of different interests. I have students who have interests in science, some in math, and others in social studies. I would like to provide a library that all of my students will use to get them fired up to read.
You will make it possible for my students to increase their knowledge base, increase their reading fluency and vocabulary usage, and get fired up for reading!
