We Need Fine Motor Skill Materials For Our Little Ones!
My students need fine motor skills materielas, including peg sticks, yarn for lacing, fine motor games, magic writing boards, stencils, left-handed scissors, playdough and playdough materials.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with wonderful Pre-K children in a high need community. The children love to learn and play everyday.
Every year it seems more and more children have difficulty with their fine motor skills. Many of them have low muscle tone in their hands and are unable to button, zipper, or grip a pencil properly. It is my goal to help them do these things so they can become independent and be able to draw and write properly. Our class desperately needs materials that can help these children gain hand strength, improve their eye/hand coordination, and help them with their grasp. With these materials, children can learn these skills through fun, engaging activities. There will be no more tears of frustration, only smiles of accomplishment!
Our class needs various materials to improve the fine motor skills of my students. We need fine motor practice boards, touch boards, left-handed scissors, fun fine motor games, playdough materials, pegs, stencils, and yarn for lacing. These activities motivate children to practice these skills in a fun, engaging way.
