Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Dry erase markers are essential to our Literacy Program. Everyday, students write on their whiteboards and it is frustrating when the marker does not work. By providing us with Expo markers, students will be sure to learn how to read and understand letter sound relationships. We start writing letters, specifically 3 letter words. Then we blend the sounds together to read the word. We also write high frequency words too.
My students love showing their boards filled with words!
They take their time writing each letter and they are now learning letter patterns and vowel patterns.
This is just one step in the process of learning to read! Thank you for choosing to help the students in Philadelphia!
