My Students

My students are incredibly special. They love to learn and they really love to read!! I have so much fun sharing new books with them and I get so excited to see the looks on their faces when we read together on the carpet.

My students are diverse learners, and need to see that diversity represented in our classroom library.

Every child deserves to feel special and accepted, and we work together each day to make each other feel loved.

My Project

These 20 books would make an amazing start to a very diverse and inclusive classroom library. I want all of my students to feel welcome in our classroom, and one way to do that is through representation in our class literature!! We need these books to start amazing conversations. We need these books to do some thought-provoking writing. We need these books to sit and enjoy together around the carpet. We need these books to know that we all belong, to know that we are all a family together, and to know that only through our collective strengths can we become better classmates, friends, and citizens!
